Abstract:

A new robust adaptive beamforming algorithm is proposed for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals in the form of linear frequency modulation (LFM) for the monostatic multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radar system. Firstly, the proposed algorithm uses the characteristics of the LFM signal to perform fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) on the matched filtered radar echo signals, and the peak points are obtained as the observation values of the array. Then, the covariance matrix of the received signal is constructed by using the observed values, and the covariance matrix of interference and noise data is reconstructed by the Capon spectrum estimation method. Finally, the actual steering vector is estimated by solving the optimization problem, and the optimal weight of the array is obtained. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by computer simulation experiments.
