Abstract:

Aiming at the problem that traditional geometric parameter estimation methods have high requirements for imaging quality and low estimation accuracy for scattered echo data with low signal-to-noise ratio and sparse aperture, spherical cone target is selected as the research object, and a new method using geometric parameter scattering model and orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) algorithm is proposed, which simplifies the computing progress and improves the performance of parameter estimation. The method first determines the value range of the proxy estimation parameters according to the prior information, and sets parameter grids in the value range at equal intervals, then calculates the scattering model according to the corresponding parameter values to generate a two-dimensional image, and then fits the imaging results of the echo signal through OMP algorithm to obtain accurate geometric parameter estimates. The proposed method achieves accurate estimation and reconstruction of geometric parameters of spherical cone targets in the presence of poor quality raw echo data.

Key words: parameter estimation, scattering model, orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP)
